Overview

The pupose of this position is to provide clerical, administrative, and loan documentation support in the Loan Operations area. Provide a high quality customer service to all lending and depository customers. Incumbent is responsible for a variety of complex lending transactions and various customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of commercial and consumer loan documentation in order to prepare loan documents and review loan packages prior to loan closings.
  • Review real estate loans for compliance and federal regulations and adherence to bank lending policy.
  • Review closing disclosures and closing statements for compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinates loan documentation with various parties including title companies, attorneys, and appraisers to assist with loan closings.
  • Prepare Loan Estimates and initial disclosures for consumer transactions
  • Prepare Closing Disclosures for consumer transactions
  • Order flood determinations
  • Order ESA studies and review ESA for commercial loans.
  • Complete the HMDA worksheet when needed
  • Process draws for interims and communicate with builder; set up accounts for interim construction
  • Provide appropriate assistance to loan customers both in person and over the phone.
  • Adhere to operational controls to ensure safety and security of customers and bank assets. This includes, but is not limited to; legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with RESPA, etc
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED)
  • Some college course work preferred
  • 3 + years experience in real estate loan documentation knowledge required
  • Experience auditing loans is preferred
  • Previous real estate loan compliance preferred
  • Must have good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with a cooperative attitude
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience in supporting real estate lending required 
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
