This position has operational and audit oversight for multiple branches throughout Houston, Austin, and Waco Regions. The position will be based in Houston (multiple locations available). This position will oversee the internal audit program for the assigned regions, including performing, documenting and reporting results and management responses. As the operational subject matter expert, this position will support area and branch managers with complex customer issues, outage resolution, audit mitigation, training and other functions; will assist in development and roll-out of policies, procedures, and systems. 


  • Responsible for conducting branch audits, reviewing internal controls, and evaluating the effectiveness of branches through analysis of audit findings, branch activity reports, and scorecards. This includes reviewing the results monthly with the Branch Services Managers, coaching them to achieve the desired results and improve operational deficiencies.
  • Periodically review policies and procedures as needed and work with Corporate Operations to update and make changes to address audit and operational deficiencies, standardize branch procedures, and gain efficiencies.
  • Provide input and feedback to Regional Sales and Service Manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and employee relations/development.
  • Participate in monthly meetings with the Regional Sales and Service Manager and be prepared to discuss industry trends, new initiatives, regulatory changes and various other topics related to branch operations.  
  • Keep management and the Regional Sales and Service Manager abreast of all operational issues that impact the employees and branches reporting up through the region.
  • Work with management, various departments, and branch personnel to identify training opportunities, provide ongoing support of deposit products, and solve complex operational issues within the region.  
  • Coordinate staff resources with Branch Services Managers to ensure adequate coverage in the branches when short staffed.
  • Prioritize daily work and projects to meet deadlines with the utmost accuracy while handling multiple interruptions throughout the day.
  • Other job related duties as may be assigned.


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field, preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in front office bank operations, required
  • Previous solid experience of financial lending regulations
  • 2+ years of management experience required
  • Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible hours and branch hours of operation
  • Careful attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with branch and operations managers.
  • Strong team player and attention to details
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
