The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and coordinator support to various Human Resources functions within the department.


  • Prepare and post job openings for open positions
  • Place employment ads as directed
  • Assist with coordinating and preparing for new hire orientation and onboarding activities, including scheduling pre-employment screening, preparing on-boarding materials and collecting required documentation for personnel files
  • Assist with payroll processing and time clock review
  • Create and prepare ad hoc reporting from HRIS system as needed
  • Assist with coordination and administration of benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, FSA, group life, 401(k), etc.
  • Assist with reconciliation of vendor enrollment reporting, submission of vendor invoicing and funding
  • Communicate and interact with employees, managers and benefit providers to address questions and resolve issues via phone, email and in person
  • Provide assistance for internal and external audits and document requests as needed
  • Assist with annual employee performance review process through ExponentHR
  • Assist with FLMA and other leave administration (e.g. paperwork processing and distribution)
  • Provide administrative support in functional areas of the Human Resources department as needed
  • Work in conjunction with HR recruiting staff to successfully onboard new employees in ExponentHR and other relevant systems
  • Maintain and image personnel files
  • Assist with filing as needed
  • Assist with day-to-day efficient operation of the Human Resources Department
  • Facilitate HR processes and answer employee requests and questions
  • Prepare employment offer letters and adverse action notices as directed
  • Prepare and mail documents related to employee terminations, i.e, 401(k), benefit information, etc.
  • Work on special projects as needed such as open enrollment and performance review process
  • Assist with addressing employee inquires within defined scope of authority
  • Maintain and/or image personnel files
  • Manage records retention process of HR records and documentation
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned



  • Bachelor’s degree, with a major in Human Resource, Business administration, finance or business management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • 1-2 years relevant HR knowledge, concepts and practices, highly preferred
  • Previous experience in an administrative assistant preferred
  • 1-2 years experience with HRIS and ATS systems, highly preferred
  • 1-2 years experience and/or familiarity with HR audits and AAP preparations, helpful
  • Previous banking experience a plus
  • Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, required
  • Strong organizational attention to detail and follow-up skills are a must
  • Must have reliable attendance
  • Accountability and achieving results is required
  • Ability to adapt to changing work environment
  • Must demonstrate outstanding customer service support and relationship building with a variety of internal and external customers with good problem solving and judgement
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Must maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Demonstrate general knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
