The purpose of this position is to perform a wide variety of routine accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including but not limited to: general ledger account reconciliations, month-end close of bank and subsidiary financial statements, fixed asset and prepaid accounting, and ad hoc projects.


  • Under direct supervision, performs complex administrative accounting tasks involving analyzing, verifying, processing and recording accounting data.
  • Ensures accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable policies and standards.
  • Analyzes, verifies and corrects accounting data and transactions by reviewing reports, reconciling accounts or information and following up on any discrepancies.
  • Maintains one or more complex accounting databases and acts as department resource on the information contained in the database
  • Extracts data via Cognos as needed for various departmental and ad hoc reports
  • Participates and facilitates departmental cross-training associated with other accounting related duties
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in banking or related financial environment, required
  • Experience with Jack Henry Silverlake GL product preferred
  • Experience preparing regulatory financial reports preferred
  • Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to learn report writing and other proprietary software quickly
  • Ability to communicate ideas, both verbal and written, in a clear and understandable manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
