  • Overview

    This position is responsible to ensure timely and accurate funding for all Construction and Land Development Loans for the North Texas and South Texas Regions and Colorado Regions in order to protect/maintain the bank’s collateral position. In addition, this person is responsible for maintaining all Construction and Land Development files Via scanned files. This position may require overtime including after hours or on weekends if necessary.


    • Build & Maintain Construction and Land Development files.
      • Build (scan) a start up file for each new Construction and Land Development Loan.
      • File (scan) of all trailing documentation (including draw requests) in appropriate File.
      • Research/Audit information in File X for to complete the Construction and Land Development File.
      • Call builders when necessary for documentation.
      • Prepare inspection ledgers/spreadsheets when necessary.
      • Download camera inspection pictures, print and file in the appropriate Construction and Land Development Files.
    • Closed File Process
      • Monthly pull all closed out Construction and Land Development Files and Ledgers/spreadsheets, date and move to designated inactive filing cabinet for retention for 1 year.
      • Annually pull all closed loans from designated inactive filing cabinet and prepare for storage to maintain for 5 years after closed date.
    • Process Funding Draws on Construction and Land Development Loans.
      • Daily processing/funding of Construction and Land Development draws.
      • Obtain officers’ signature for approval prior to funding (via email or faxing to other branches).      
      • Prepare entries, draw requests and ledgers/spreadsheets for officer approval to be funded.
      • Order inspections and calculate availability to advance on loan.
    • Exception Monitoring – for all Builders Risk, Loan Covenants, and Final Documentation
      • Receive and process exceptions
    • Final Documentation – to move from Interim Loan status to Mini-Perm status
      • Prepare necessary Affidavits for Borrowers / Contractors to sign
      • Request all Final Documentation from Borrowers / Contractors
      • Request and Send all documents for title endorsement to title companies
      • Send documents to clear exceptions tracking
    • Automate and refine the processes, forms and reports to manage the risk of Construction and Land Development Loans
      • Recommend and implement procedural changes to automate the position.
      • Recommend the development of necessary forms necessary to improve and enhance the processes.
    • Other Duties.
      • Exceptions - Clearing insurance exceptions on a weekly basis.
      • Prepare file and pull files, documentation for audits and exams.
      • Perform other job related duties as assigned.
    • Completes compliance and other job related training as required.
    • May assist in training new employees and answer co-worker questions.
    • Refers unusual or suspicious activities or transactions to the BSA officer immediately
    • Complies with all department and company policies and procedures.
    • Contributes to the fulfillment of the department and the bank objectives and goals.
    • Performs as a team member, and completes any other job-related duties as assigned.


    • College graduate or high school diploma with equivalent experience is required.
    • Minimum 2 years experience in banking or financial institution, preferably in Loan Operations.
    • Computer literacy
    • Detailed knowledge of current loan system
    • Speed and accuracy with typing skills
    • Excellent communication and organization skills
    • Able to work under minimal supervision
    • Strong knowledge of Window based software
    • Ability to analyze numbers and calculate percentages
    • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
