The Area Banking Manager is responsible for the daily operations and retail sales management of two or more branches in a defined geographical area.


  • Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of branches through analysis of branch activity reports
  • Direct supervision of branch staff
  • Responsible for managing expenses of all branch operations within the defined area while ensuring the delivery of the highest level of customer service to retail branch customers
  • Exercise the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and employee relations/development
  • Ensure area branches are compliant with all bank policies and procedures
  • Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
  • Participate in community activities
  • Other various duties as assigned


  • High school graduate or equivalent education certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting, preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in bank operations, required
  • 5+ years of management experience, required
  • Ability to cross sell bank products and services
  • Demonstrated strong skills in retail branch operations and management
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong PC skills and Windows-based programs such as Word and Excel
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
