The Vendor Compliance Manager will work with the Vice President - IT Governance and Information Security to support the Bank’s goals of ongoing development, management and compliance oversight of the Vendor Management Program, Contract Management Program and associated risk management.


  • Develops and manages the Bank’s Vendor Management Program and Contract Management Program.
  • Gathers and reports information to the Bank’s Vendor Oversight Committee.
  • Maintain and analyze stratification of full vendor population – coordinate with Business Owners when adjustments are either requested or needed.
  • Assist Business Owners with new and ongoing vendor risk reviews.
  • Ensures vendor risk reviews performed by Business Owners are comprehensive, complete and in accordance with the Bank’s Vendor Policy.
  • Contribute to sourcing strategy development for larger 3rd party engagements (Statement of Work, RFPs, RFIs etc.).
  • Continually develop additional knowledge in Vendor Management topics such as Service Level Agreement definition and monitoring, SSAE16 content and reporting, and related Vendor Management oversight tools and techniques.
  • Interact with vendors and business units to ensure proper on-boarding of new vendors including expectations and ongoing procedural and communications protocol.
  • Interact with Business Owners to ensure proper level of compliance and performance are stated in new sourcing Statement of Work documents.
  • Perform ongoing compliance activities and coordinate with Business Owners, Legal, Internal Audit and others as needed to ensure proper review and tracking of compliance outcomes.
  • Continually look to improve Vendor Management program including use of additional approaches / resources for assessing vendors.
  • Ensures vendor review activities are conducted on appropriate schedule.
  • Partners with business units to fulfill IT audit and exam requests.
  • Respond to and work with Enterprise Risk Management on related initiatives or problem resolution.
  • Recommends vendor and contract related policies and standards to ensure the Bank’s programs comply with FFIEC guidance and other regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Follows bank regulatory requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. Business, MIS) or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of business experience in areas including:
    • Vendor management program development
    • Contract management program development
    • Vendor due diligence 
    • Vendor Risk Management
  • Previous Banking / Financial Services Industry experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Visio for reports, analysis and presentations
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task and who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
  • Ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships
  • Outstanding organizational and effective time management skills
  • Ability to obtain, analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Superior problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
