    The Loan Operations Specialist II will complete a variety of tasks associated with the origination of loans, servicing and support of existing loans, including: generate and review all Consumer and Commercial Non Real Estate loan documents for lending staff ensuring accuracy in documentation to minimize the Bank’s risk.


    • Process new and renewal loan requests ensuring the monitoring of loan authority and loan policy requirements.
    • Generate required loan documents on all new and renewed consumer and commercial loans using LaserPro as per federal and state laws and assuring Bank’s perfection.
    • Verify and clear up discrepancies between loan worksheet and supporting documentation, identify and document both collateral and policy exceptions for follow up.
    • Communicate with lending staff to provide guidance on collateral perfection on all submitted loan requests, including: ensure appropriate entity documents are provided to support styling of commercial loans.
    • Perfection of non real estate collateral types to ensure the Bank’s perfection on applicable loans, including: vehicles, boats, motorhomes, business assets, marketable securities, CDs and life insurance.
    • Review executed loan documents for appropriate signatures and create CIF record in Jack Henry/Silverlake system (new customers only) prior to submission for booking loan to the Jack Henry/Silverlake system.
    • Book all loans to Jack Henry/Silverlake system including disbursement of proceeds, distribution of loan fees, set up of FASB fees etc.
    • Process loan payments, set up and clear collateral ticklers and exceptions, monitor and continue UCC filings for the Houston region.
    • Assist the Loan Operations department and lending staff on research, customer service and system maintenance that may be needed on loans.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    • High school diploma or equivalent education certificate (GED)
    • 2 - 5 years general banking knowledge
    • 1 – 3 years commercial loan processing, documentation and servicing
    • Should be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to take direction
    • Professional demeanor, cooperative attitude, strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Working knowledge of loan processing systems
    • Working knowledge of all loan collateral documentation including commercial, consumer and entity documentation requirements
    • Working knowledge of loan compliance regulations
    • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Experience in LaserPro (required)
    • Demonstrate general knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
