    The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and coordinator support to various Human Resources functions within the department.

    Responsibilities

    • Work in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Team to coordinate and conduct new hire orientation and on-boarding activities, which include preparing on-boarding materials and collecting required documentation for personnel files
    • Conduct New Hire orientation
    • Work closely with Benefits specialist on Leave Administration
    • Create and prepare ad hoc reporting from HRIS system as needed
    • Assist with coordination and administration of benefit programs, such as medical, dental, vision, FSA, group life, 401(k), etc.
    • Communicate and interact with employees, managers and benefit providers to address questions and resolve issues via phone, email and in person
    • Provide assistance for internal and external audits and document requests as needed
    • Provide administrative support in functional areas of the Human Resources department as needed
    • Maintain and image personnel files, assist with filing as needed
    • Assist with day-to-day efficient operation of the Human Resources Department
    • Prepare and mail documents related to employee terminations, i.e, 401(k), benefit information, etc.
    • Work on special projects as needed such as open enrollment and performance review process
    • Update & maintain employee discounts
    • Manage records retention process of HR records and documentation
    • Coordinate bi-annual employee awards program & other employee appreciation initiatives as needed
    • Perform other job related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree, with a major in Human Resource, Business administration, finance or business management
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
    • 1-2 years relevant HR knowledge, benefits & leave administration concepts and practices, required
    • Previous experience in an administrative assistant function, required
    • 1-2 years experience with HRIS highly preferred
    • 1-2 years experience and/or familiarity with HR audits and AAP preparations, helpful
    • Previous banking experience a plus
    • Strong computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, required
    • Strong organizational attention to detail and follow-up skills are a must
    • Must have reliable attendance
    • Accountability and achieving results is required
    • Ability to adapt to changing work environment
    • Must demonstrate outstanding customer service support and relationship building with a variety of internal and external customers with good problem solving and judgement
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required
    • Must maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
    • Demonstrate general knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
