    Under minimal supervision, the Senior Business Analyst partners with interdepartmental management teams to analyze and address business needs and/or deficiencies involving the Bank’s process, products, services, and/or technology.  This is based on alignment with strategic goals and business strategy, and maintaining high standards of product and service quality while meeting customers’ needs in the most cost effective manner.  The position may also lead and direct the work of others in a cross-functional team environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Builds strong relationships with both internal and external clients
    • Supports and leads assigned business units by investigating opportunities and problems related to current processes, products or services. Responds to inquiries or requests for modifications and/or improvements, and recommends, facilitates, and coordinates solutions
    • Supports and leads process, product, and project management duties for assigned business initiatives, work streams and operational components
    • Applies consultative approach to assist with functional planning and design, and operational/procedural planning and design when implementing new systems and/or product enhancements
    • Supports and leads interdepartmental business applications and data needs
    • Documents and leads detailed technical and functional business rules and requirements
    • Participates in and leads cross-team collaboration to ensure projects and operations run smoothly and efficiently
    • Ensures adherence to published Bank project management methodology, resulting in consistent development and implementation of project components
    • May assist with other banking functions as assigned and according to business necessity

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, management or a related field is required
    • 3-5 years of business experience in one of the following; process improvement, project management or product management is required
    • Previous experience in business analysis; change management; strategic planning; operations or vendor management preferred
    • Previous experience in banking of financial services environment, strongly preferred
    • Experience participating in and leading large, complex cross-functional projects
    • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio to perform analyses, complete reports, and prepare presentations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to give presentations to all levels of employees, including management
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships across the organization
    • Ability to participate in business analysis, strategy, product and project management, and/or process improvement initiatives in a corporate environment
    • Knowledge of business assessment tools such as analysis/needs assessments, feasibility studies, business case and cost/benefit analyses
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proven ability to multitask and ability to work independently
    • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
