    Independent Bank is currently seeking to hire a Senior Credit Analyst in Dallas to join its fast growing Energy Group. This role is responsible for underwriting, credit monitoring and general portfolio management of Energy Banking relationships. The position will work closely with the Energy Group executives, relationship managers, petroleum engineers and clients.



    • Prepare written credit-approval packages for presentation to senior management
    • Assist with underwriting of new energy loans through due diligence/analysis of various financial data
    • Assist with management of the Borrowing Base redetermination process by working with the relationship manager, client and credit department
    • Research, examine, and quantify the degree of credit risk involved in energy credits
    • Generate analysis of various data, using computer programs, to evaluate a customers’ financial capacity
    • Prepare various monthly/quarterly reports for presentation to senior management
    • Perform other job related duties as assigned



    • Bachelor’s degree in business related major with at least two accounting courses
    • 2-3+ years of relevant experience within the Energy, Oil & Gas or Finance industry
    • Strong analytical ability
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
    • Possesses the ability to communicate at a high level both verbally and in writing
    • Demonstrates solid energy industry knowledge, understanding of various energy finance products and ability to quantify risk profiles in energy credits
    • Motivated self-starter and an active learner
    • Careful attention to detail and time management skills are essential
