    This position provides risk identification and analysis for Enterprise Risk Management function. Key resource who assists with driving the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and control of risk across the bank. This role will help develop a strong risk management culture, lead assigned projects, assist with performing model risk activities as well as the development and/or review of risk related policies, standard and procedures, analyze data, develop risk models, scorecards and reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze quantitative and qualitative risk data (internal and external sources) and effectively present conclusions/recommendations
    • Support best-practice enterprise risk management activities in line with IB’s ERM framework, policies and standards
    • Assist with conducting model risk activities as required (model inventory maintenance, risk assessment analysis, change management process, development of training materials etc.)
    • Provide Committee Support (Model Risk Oversight Committee etc.) as required
    • Generation of risk scoring models
    • Partner cross-functionally to facilitate monthly, quarterly or ad hoc risk reporting
    • Assist Director with development and implementation of risk programs, policies, standards and procedures as required
    • Lead projects as required
    • Other job related duties as assigned by the Director of ERM

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or business related major
    • 1 to 2 years of experience in financial services/energy industry or a combination of intern experience in one or both of these sectors with relevant course work in Business Finance, Financial Modeling and Valuation as well as Accounting
    • Experience in or understanding of risk management/statistical analysis and model development
    • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with proven ability to effectively interact and build relationships with employees at all levels within an organization
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
    • Collaborative team player who is skilled at indirectly influencing others
    • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities to successful conclusion
    • Solid knowledge of financial regulatory landscape or willingness to learn
    • Ability to formulate and articulate objective views based on risk-based analysis
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAS is required
    • Motivated self-starter and an active learner
